Facebook Chat Crashes

If you’re experiencing web browser crashes when you run Facebook, it’s likely the case that your PC will have a number of problems that are going to prevent it from being able to access the files or settings that this piece of software requires to run. Facebook Chat is basically a very process-intensive application, and you therefore have to be able to fix any of the possible issues that your PC may have causing the problems.

What Causes Facebook Chat To Crash?

The main reason why this program will crash is down to the way in which your PC will not be able to access the files or options that it needs to run. This program has been coded in “Java”, which means that it can update on the web page without refreshing the whole page… whilst communicating with the Facebook server at the same time. Although this technology is seen as one of the best for the Internet, it’s also very difficult to get working properly.

How To Fix Facebook Chat Crashes

Step 1 – Re-Install Java On Your PC

The most likely culprit of this problem is going to be “Java”. This is the program which allows Facebook Chat to run, and is used continually to help make sure that your computer is able to process all of the important files and settings that your computer will use to run. Although Java is normally very stable, it’s continually leading to a large number of issues, making it recommended that you re-install this software:

  • Click onto the Internet and download “JavaRa”
  • Install this program and let it remove Java from your PC
  • Restart your computer
  • Install Java again

Step 2 – Re-Install Your Web Browsers

The next step is to re-install any of the web browsers which may be causing problems for your system. Step 3 – Clean Out Any Registry Errors

The “registry” is one of the biggest causes of Facebook Chat Crashes, as this part of your PC is one of the most important parts of Windows. The ¬†fact is that the registry is where a large number of important settings are kept for your computer, including the likes of your desktop wallpaper, most recent emails and even your passwords. Although this part of your system is continually being used to help make sure that your PC is able to run as smoothly as possible, it’s continually leading to a large number of errors to form due to the registry either becoming corrupted or damaged. In order to resolve this problem, it’s recommended that you are able to fix any of the issues that this part of your system may have.
