How To Fix 0x0eedfade Errors – “Internet Explorer” & Other Errors Caused By 0x0EEDFADE

The “0x0EEDFADE” error is a common problem for Windows computers trying to read various pieces of software which they need to run. Although the error will show when you open up the likes of Internet Explorer & other applications, it’s believed that the error is mainly caused by the way in which your system will either be unable to read a particular plugin that your system needs to run, or from a setting problem on Windows. What Causes 0x0EEDFADE Errors?

The error you’re seeing is generally caused by the way in which Windows will try and read a series of files / settings that it needs to run. Although there is no specific cause of the issue, most people are pin-pointing various “system plugins” and other features of Windows for the problem. Here are some of the common causes of the 0x0EEDFADE errors on your PC:

  • Windows is out of date / damaged

How To Fix 0x0EEDFADE Errors On Your PC

Step 1 – Disable Internet Explorer Third-Party Plugins

Internet Explorer problems are actually one of the main causes of the 0x0eedfade error on your PC. The issue is that this piece of software will not be able to correctly read the files / settings it requires to run properly, causing the error. To fix this, you can do this:

  • Open IE
  • Click “Tools
  • Locate “Internet Options” & Click
  • Click on the “Advanced” Tab
  • Uncheck “Enable Third Party Browser Extensions
  • Restart Your PC

Step 2 – Update Windows

The main issue that causes the 0x0EEDFADE problem on your PC is likely that your system has some sort of problem with the files or settings it requires to run, making it important that you keep your system as up to date as possible. To do this, you should download all the updates that are available for your version of Windows from the “Windows Update” application.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Click “Start”

Step 3 – Re-Install Any Programs Causing The Error

If your PC still works in safe mode, it suggests that there are some software issues causing the problem on your PC. To fix these, the first step you should take is to reinstall any programs which may be causing the error to show. This can be done by following the steps below:

  • Click “Start”
  • Locate “Control Panel”
  • Click “Add / Remove Programs”
  • Locate the program causing the error
  • Click “Remove / Uninstall” next to it
  • Wait for the uninstallation to complete
  • Restart Your PC
  • Re-install the program

This will repair any potential problems that your software / programs had causing the error. Not only will this allow your system to run much smoother, it will allow your programs to read all the files & settings they require to run correctly, preventing the error from occurring again.

Step 4 – Clean Out Viruses From Your System

If the above step did not resolve the issue, it may be that you have a virus. It’s often the case that viruses will install themselves onto your PC and then cause a number of problems & issues that prevent your computer from being able to run properly. If you’re seeing the 0x0EEDFADE error on your PC, it could be caused by a virus infection that’s damaged the settings your computer requires to run. To fix this problem, you should use an anti-virus program to get rid of the infection you have.
