This error typically shows when you are trying to use a program that requires the Cscmd32.ocx and Cstext32.ocx files in Windows XP. OCX files are files which store external components and functions that Microsoft did not create. It’s often the case that if a program is installed with a series of unique features, then it will have its own set of .ocx files. Cscmd32.ocx and Cstext32.ocx failed to register

This error normally shows when you’re trying to install a program, and in order to fix it, you should try using the following method to make sure that your computer is able to run the files successfully…

Cause Of The Cscmd32.ocx Error

The Cscmd32.ocx error is caused by the incompatibility of the Cscmd32.ocx & Cstext32.ocx files on your PC. The most common system to have this problem on is Windows XP SP2 but has been known to occur on other versions of Windows as well.

Resolution For The Cscmd32.ocx Error

To fix the Cscmd32.ocx error, you basically need to update the files that are incompatible with Windows. In order to do that, here’s what you need to do:

1) Download these updated files and extract them to the following folder: C:\Windows\System32

2) When the self-extraction has completed, restart your computer and try installing the program you wanted to initially, again.

This basically replaces the two incompatible .ocx files on your computer with the updated files that will allow Windows to install the programs you want. This should fix the problem once and for all.
