Windows Virus Update 2011 is a fake antivirus tool that’s been created to try and get you to buy the rogue upgrade to this program. As you may have already guessed, this infection does nothing to help your PC, and will be blocking the likes of Windows Task Manager, your Internet settings and a number of other important options for your system. If you have this virus, it’s vital that you stop it running before deleting it off your system.

What Is Windows Virus Update 2011?

This is a virus which is commonly known as a “malware” (malicious software) infection. It’s basically a fake piece of software which installs itself onto your computer, blocks a number of highly important settings on your system and then will try and get you to buy the upgrade to the program. We’ve found that although Windows Virus Update 2011 looks legitimate, it’s a complete scam which needs to be removed quickly to get your computer running as smoothly as possible again.

You should not trust Windows Virus Update 2011, and need to be able to get rid of it in order to protect your PC from any further viruses. In order to do this, we recommend using a “spyware removal” program that’s going to be able to get rid of all the parts of the infection your PC may have. This is best done by restarting your computer into “safe mode” before then using a spyware removal tool to clean out your system.
